The Vision

Viva Kids

The vision of Viva Kids is simple: To effectively meet the basic needs of children and families around the world. We do this through a number of different ways. Since our work is international, it is imperative to us that the work we do in foreign countries support and contribute to that country’s infrastructure and economy. This means that whenever possible, we partner with local individuals, ministries and churches, coming alongside them and supporting them as they reach out to the poor in their own communities. Our desire is to help children and families through the following ways:

  • Education

This includes basic education for children and adults as well as technical and vocational education. It also includes health education. Some of the educational programs we are currently working with include: Basic Education (reading, writing, mathematics, history, language), English, Computers, Vocational (sewing, baking). Some of programs we hope to implement soon include: Management, Advanced Computer, Business development and administration, Health, Carpentry, Arts.

  • Feeding Programs

The children centers that Viva Kids partners with are currently feeding approximately 300 children daily (5 days a week).

  • Community Development Programs

This includes building and/or repairing homes for needy families. It also includes building and/or repairing common areas within communities for activities. (sports fields, community centers, etc).

  • Micro-Enterprise Development

As part of our stated mission to contribute to the countries economy and infrastructure, it is our desire to help people establish small businesses that can produce the necessary income for them to provide for their families. Viva Kids helps with this process by teaching special skills that people can use to establish new small businesses. In addition, we hope to further expand our micro-credit program, which will allow us to provide low-interest loans to people who are beginning or developing small businesses.

  • Health

Health-related problems are a huge issue in the third-world countries where Viva Kids operates. This multi-faceted problem must be addressed in a variety of ways. Some of the ways Viva Kids is working in the area of health include: health education, operating free clinics, providing medicine and medical supplies, providing pure drinking water.
