"CIMIV" Children Center

Viva Kids

"Centro Integral Materno Infantil 'Vida' Inc." (C. I. M. I. V.) is a non profit ministry which was founded in 1995 by Dr. Enerio Mercedes and his family. CIMIV is located in San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic. Dr. Enerio first began working with a small group of children by providing a short class for them free of charge. After understand the full extent of their situation and realizing that many of the children were not receiving adequate nutrition at home, he realized that he had to develop a more complete program. Since that time, the program at CIMIV has continued to expand and grow. Currently, CIMIV is a state-recognized school, offering an exceptional education. In addition, the students receive 2-3 meals a day. CIMIV also provides medical and dental care to each of its students. Currently, CIMIV has approximately 150 students registered in classes from preschool through 7th grade. Dr. Enerio hopes to continue to expand the program to include high school as well as a vocational school.
