About Us

Micro Enterprise

After working for many years in impoverished nations, we have encountered the realities of the vicious cycle of poverty.  We strongly believe that one of the key elements in reducing and even eradicating poverty is to empower the poor to rise up and become self-sustaining.  One of the ways we do this is through micro-enterprise.  Specifically, we are always looking for creative ways for individuals, communities or children centers to establish small businesses which will create jobs and bring in necessary income.  One of our most recent developments is a small fish farm project.  This project entails the development of an aquaponics system to raise tilapia and vegetables.  We currently have our first model project up and running with over 1000 Tilapia.  Within the first year, the goal is to be producing and selling over 500 1bs of fresh Tilapia and vegetables per month.  Once we have successfully developed and established our model system, we will then duplicate it and teach others in impoverished communities to do the same.  The system requires a relatively low initial investment, has a low operating cost and can function effectively in third-world conditions.
